This year we will be considering what
it really means to live the part of Galatians 2:20 that says:
“And the life I now live in the
flesh”
Norman Grubb says that we are forever
humans and have human responses and are meant to, but they are overflowed by
Christ in us, and indeed, unless we were first living human persons with
human reactions, we should not be the persons by whom He unveils Himself.
What does that actually mean to us?
We have spent endless years talking about living the truth of “Christ in
you,” seeing through present tense suffering to God and ‘living above the
line’, but have we taken that final leap that once for all swallows us up
into Him where we have lost ourselves and known that He has totally replaced
us and we have become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus… II Cor.
5:21?
Having accepted ourselves because we
know we have been made perfect, whole and complete, needing nothing and have
seen that it is He who is ever living to make intercession for others
through our flesh... II Corinthians 4:10-12…so that we can say with Paul,
“For me to live is Christ.”
Putting on our 'bride
dress' has been the thing we almost refuse to do. Can you imagine being a
bridegroom and hearing that the bride won't get
dressed..................much less walk down the isle.................
Think deeply about these truths and
come prepared to share how He is living as you because “as He is, so
are we in this world.”
We begin on Friday evening at 6 pm
with dinner and end Sunday noon with lunch. Please reply by Aug. 1 to:
